Our Story
Meet Charlie - Our namesake
It all started as a joke. One day, Brit told her mom and dad she wanted a pet chicken. Living in the city of Erie, they weren't going to buy her a real chicken, but did come across Charlie at the local Walmart. So....Charlie went home to Brit. And like most toys, was forgotten about in the dusty basement for a number of years.
Fast forward to 2015 when we were looking for the little something extra to put on top of our home-built keg cooler for the annual BrewersFest. Head Cock, Mike (that's an official title, by the way) had a brilliant idea......let's put Charlie on there.....and so it began.
Now, over the years, Charlie has had his share of adventures and hasn't come away unscathed. Brit, feeling bad for her once forgotten pet, and went to a local craft store for replacement feathers and some googly eyes. Well.....as you can see, Charlie is looking totally fabulous these days, even in his manginess.

Every year we try to outdo ourselves and come up with new and exciting and interesting beers. It's official - We're a winner!
Mike, AKA The Head Cock, entered the 2023 PA Homebrewers Invitational and won 1st place in the Northeast division with his Artic IPA - a clear winner in our book no matter what the judges think. But this time, they agreed with our heavily biased opinion and off we're headed to the state finals at Floating Feathers Brewery in Mill Hall, PA on October 21, 2023!
